Justice Emeka Nwite wey dey Federal High Court, Abuja don tok say di former Govnor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, must enta court come ansa di accuse of fraud wey EFCC tok say e do wey reach 80 billion naira.

For April 23, di court bin oda Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) make dem serve di former govnor di money laundering case against am thru im lawyer.

For di ruling, Justice Nwite tok say di application wey di EFCC file, wey tok say make dem nor hear any application if di defendant nor dey court, dey important.

As e dey quote section 396 (2) of di Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, di trial judge tok say Bello suppose first show imsef before e go file any process.

Di trial Judge tok say since Bello don dey disobey court oda, dem nor go allow am file any application or make dem hear am.

Di judge still add say even if dem get di arrest warrant illegally, Bello for don show for court.

Bello still dey beg di court make dem pause di matter ontop di accuse of money laundering wey EFCC file against am until Court of Appeal decide one pending case wey relate to di same matter.

Thru im lawyer, Abdulwahab Mohammed, di former govnor tell di court say EFCC bin use one motion ex parte take get oda from Appeal Court to stop di contempt case wey im file against di agency for High Court wey dey Lokoja.

So, di lawyer tok say since Appeal Court don fix May 20 to hear di case, e go dey important make Federal High Court wait make dem see wetin go comot from am before dem go continue wit di trial.
