The Permanent Secretary for Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, Mrs Esuabana Nko Asanye, yarn this one for Abuja on Wednesday, June 11.
She talk say bamboo with other better technologies fit help solve housing wahala for Nigeria, as the population dey grow, without spoiling the environment.
She still add say the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), wey dey under the ministry, don start work to use green technology build smart houses with bamboo alone for people.
Mrs Esuabana, wey send Director of Environmental Science Technology (EST), Mrs Benadette Oguche, represent her for one capacity building workshop for Abuja, explain say the plan na to promote better, cheap and environmental-friendly houses for poor and middle-class people for the country.
She also yarn say the knowledge wey people go gather for the workshop go help solve the challenges wey dey like high building cost and wahala to get raw materials.
